Good Eats!

The Finger Lakes region is about 90 miles wide by 50 miles long, and in that area there are thousands of restaurants that range from greasy spoons to gourmet dining. With over a million residents and millions of visitors each year, these restaurants cater to a wide variety of taste buds. Rochester is the largest city in the Finger Lakes with over 200,000 of those residents and it has a culinary claim to fame that is the epitome of not so fine dining - the Nick Tahoe’s Garbage Plate! Many bands, comedians, and other famous people who pass through the area make the obligatory stop at the restaurant that serves the concoction of macaroni salad, home fries, hot dogs (or hamburgers), and hot sauce that sounds disgusting, but tastes fantastic. Don’t worry, if you don’t want to risk the gastro-intestinal drama that “a plate” might cause you, there are plenty of fine dining and good food at a good price options throughout the area as well.
