Del Lago Casino and Resort - Waterloo

Del Lago is the only casino in the Finger Lakes that has all of the attractions that you typically get from a Vegas style casino. Slots, table games, great restaurants, an events center with top name acts, hotel, and spa. The goal of the property is to give you everything that you need so that you never have to leave the resort, but they do have excursions for Finger Lakes wine tastings and other off premises activities in the area.

Don’t worry, even if your only talent in the kitchen is putting leftovers in the microwave, you will be able to handle one of the many cooking classes that they have at NY Kitchen! There are different classes just about every night to hone your culinary prowess. And if you still don’t think you can cut it, when it comes to cutting carrots for your supper, don’t worry, there is a great restaurant here along with a tasting room of numerous New York wines, beers, ciders and spirits.


Watkins Glen Speedway, Racing, Drive your car on the track

Watkins Glen International Raceway - Watkins Glen

For those with a need for speed that want to channel their inner Mario Andretti, the Watkins Glen International Raceway allows visitors to drive their own vehicles on the 3.45 mile race track. You could also attend any of the premier Nascar and Formula One races that are hosted here. Foodies and wine aficionados can also attend the Finger Lakes Wine Festival is held here the 2nd weekend in July. It gives you a great opportunity to sample wines from the 100+ FLX Wineries, have some great food, and listen to music all in one venue.


Sonnenburg Mansion and Gardens, Canandaigua

The mansion was built in 1887 by a wealthy NYC banker and his wife. The 300 acre plot was developed into beautiful Italian, Victorian, and Japanese gardens by 1919. The property is now owned by the NYS Park System and they have done a fantastic job to restore the mansion and the beautiful gardens to their original design. This is a great tour to take on a summer afternoon.


Fly The Finger Lakes, Canandaigua

If you already seen the Finger Lakes from a car, boat, bike, and a hike, we have one more option for you - why not see it from a plane? Up to 3 people can ride together in a small plane that takes off from the Canandaigua Airport and tours the area from the air. You may even get the opportunity to take the controls yourself (with the actual pilot still able to retake control) and try your hand at flying. It is a great trip to get a unique view of the area that everyone should try.


Finger Lakes Seaplanes, Fly in a Sea Plane

Finger Lakes Seaplanes - Hammondsport

Since the seaplane was invented in Hammondsport in 1911, this has to be something that you do during your Finger Lakes Adventures! You can fly for 30 or 60 minutes with up to 3 adult passengers. The trip takes you over Seneca and Keuka Lakes and gives you a great aerial perspective of the area.
